SEYMOUR, Ind. (WISH) - State Police say a southern Indiana man has crashed a World War I era plane for the second time in just over two years.

Officers say the pilot, 59-year-old Phillip E. Krueger, of Freetown, sustained only minor cuts and bruises after crash landing the SE 5A single engine, World War I era plane in a Seymour, Ind. field Tuesday morning.

According to a police report, the plane was 50 to 60 feet up in the air when it lost power and crashed just north of the runway at Freeman Field.

Investigators from the FAA were expected to be in Seymour Tuesday to look into the crash, police say.

Officers say in June, 2008, Krueger had to crash land the plane after the plane again lost power.
