LOS ANGELES (CNN) - Talk about a garage sale find!

A California man stumbled upon a collection of negatives shot by none other than famed photographer Ansel Adams .

He paid just $45 a decade ago for the shots of famous Yosemite, Carmel and other landscapes. It took him until now to confirm their authenticity.

A Beverly Hills appraiser estimates they're worth at least $200 million.

The glass negatives were thought to have been destroyed in a fire. Art experts say they are a major missing link in Adams' career.
