Carrie, Before Sex & the City!

BURBANK, CA - Get ready to learn all about Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw before she dazzled the Big Apple!

The CW's new show " The Carrie Diaries" takes us back to 1984, and life was no cakewalk for 16-year-old Carrie whose mother had recently passed away.

Carrie's younger sister, Dorrit, reacted to their mother's passing in an extremely rebellious way, while their father was suddenly overwhelmed by being a single father to two teenaged daughters.

Even though Carrie's friends make life more bearable, Carrie can't keep her troubles off her mind. Soon, Carrie's father makes a decision that will change Carrie's life, and start her on a path to becoming the 'Sex and the City' columnist we've known and loved.

He sends her to New York to intern at a law firm in Manhattan, hoping it will give her an outlet to move forward after losing her mom.

The glamour and grit of New York city opened Carrie's eyes to a new world, especially after meeting Larissa, the style editor for Interview Magazine.

Larissa's unique circle of friends, combined with New York's club culture claimed a huge spot in Carrie's heart, but the real love affair for Carrie was with Manhattan.
